I'm not a Londoner, I'm not even from the UK, but this interview really shocked me, in a positive way, and a way that I didn't expect. I'm not informed enough to have a real opinion about this guy politically, but his way of speaking, his manner and his overall vibe is awesome. I wish we had any politicians like this in my country - people who are able to be clear and firm yet soft-spoken, without feeling like they're constantly trying to sell you something. It's so refreshing to see a politician actually just answer questions??? And not immediately get defensive when confronted about the problems their region has??? While I can't know whether or not his answers can be trusted and whether any of the things he spoke about will actually be acted on, the fact that he was asked simple, but important, questions and didn't hesitate to give straightforward answers, only sidestepping to add context where necessary before returning to the actual answer, speaks volumes to me. I've been bingeing PolJOE content recently to try and learn a bit about UK politics before I fly over next month from the other side of the world (big fan of the Pisscast by the way). I really hope he wins today, I'll feel much safer coming to London with him in charge rather than Hall. Please try your best to vote, Londoners!
